Cornwall is a wonderful area to spend some time "away from it all". It is renowned for its sparkling clear blue seas, sandy beaches and surf. The coastline of Cornwall has magnificent cliffs with beautiful coves and bays with charming fishing villages such as Mousehole. Inland, the Cornish countryside is rolling and varied with woods, lakes and farmland. There are many picturesque villages and market towns to explore.

Silverley Cottage is in a beautiful location at the head of Cot Valley - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), just south of St Just close to the coast of Cornwall. With easy access from the A30, our luxury self catering holiday cottage is only 1 mile south of St Just and 1 mile from the Atlantic coast.

The magnificent coastline of Cornwall offers much to walkers, swimmers and surfers and you will find plenty to do during your holiday here. Porthcorn Beach was voted one of the best beaches in Britain in the Times. We have excellent surfing opportunities closeby at Sennen Surfing Centre - Courses, Private Tuition and well equipped Surf Shop.

We're only 4 miles from Lands End at the southern tip of Britain. The towns of St Ives, with its beaches and Tate Gallery & Penzance - the capital of West Cornwall - with it's shops and restaurants - are only a short drive away.

The South West Coastal Path is only 10 minutes walk away - 630 miles of superb coastal walking from Minehead on the edge of Exmoor to Poole in Dorset.

The amazing island world of St Michael's Mount is a short drive away and you can discover legend, myth and over a thousand years of incredible history - and then finish with a cup of tea in their café.

Being located at the tip of Cornwall, the Scilly Isles are readily accessible via sea (from Penzance) or by air (from Lands End Airport). The perfect destination for a Cornwall day trip. Sparkling white beaches, exotic plants, abundant wildlife, magnificent views, Civil War castles and prehistoric sites - all the treasures of the islands await you.

The famous Eden Project is just up the Cornish Coast at St Austell - a global garden: a place of beauty and wonder which explores humankind's dependence on natural resources. Well worth a visit!

Cornwall is famous for it's industrial heritage and history with many former tin mines located in our area. Check out www.cornish-mining.org.uk for more information.

For those requiring a little culture on their stay in Cornwall, the is the wonderful open air theatre at Minack - the theatre under the stars. A unique place to visit, all year round.

There is so much to do in this part of Cornwall - so little time...
